It is with tremendous sadness that we share news of the passing of Michael Neidorff, Centene’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from 1996 until 2022.
Michael Neidorff was a visionary leader in healthcare. Today, the company he built provides healthcare for nearly 1 in 15 vulnerable individuals, and his life’s work has transformed the delivery of care. Moreover, Michael’s philanthropic support of many organizations will provide lasting impact for years to come.
“On behalf of the 75,000 employees of Centene, we want to express our deepest sympathies to Michael’s family and loved ones,” said CEO Sarah London. “Michael’s passion remains within all of us and his commitment to shaping the future of healthcare lives on.”

Local PartnershipsWorking at Centene
I work in a fast-paced, caring, collaborative and energetic environment. Each day, I am given the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our members. By caring for the whole person, and not just a specific condition, we're able to help members address many of the barriers that can block their access to quality healthcare.
